- Projects (.crv / .crv3d)
- Vectors, layers, material, 2D toolpath settings and the actual toolpath moves, for VCarve 11 or later.
- Tool databases (.vtdb)
- Folders and real bit geometry, including form-tool profiles.
- Next Wave Shark output
- .tap written in the layout of Vectric's Next Wave post, checked against vendor output.
- Platforms
- VCarve and Aspire run on Windows. Makivo is native on Mac and iPad.
- Machine control
- Makivo can also run GRBL and Shark machines from the app (hardware verification varies — see Machines).
Limits
Good to know
- Files older than VCarve 11 are not supported.
- Some VCarve 11+ files with unfamiliar layouts open with no vectors.
- Imported toolpath moves flag bit differences with a warning.
